Martin Johnson

This could be seen by many England rugby fans as a devastating loss because of him retiring as manager but for me although it looks bad for him and he could be seen as a "sour loser" it is an opportunity for England to turn over a new leaf and start again with a new younger manager maybe who will bring England more luck in the next rugby world cup.

Matt Edgar's Article

One thing that really shocked me was that although all the new inventions such as the iPhone and the internet have been developed extremely quickly and has spread very fast, this has been the case for all new inventions in all ages. Such as the light bulb that was invented by Thomas Edison this spread very fast due to the enormity of the people that liked his idea. Also Matt Edgar says that in the 18th century trains would run taking post to and from all the major cities in a country twice a day.
He also says that whether we are playing the latest games such as Call of Duty or whether we are playing the earliest video games, we still have and require the same cognitive abilities in order to play both the games.
He is saying that the main difference between 18th century and now is the earth's population. Since the 18th century the population has increased by more than double therefore making it easier to make an invention such as the iPhone known by more people. Also connectivity with other countries on a worldwide scale has improved and so these ideas can spread much more easier than in the 18th century when the train had just been invented. For example every day worldwide a billion cans of Coca-Cola are drunk, which would never have been possible 100 years ago.
